The size chart says to order 2 sizes bigger than your shoe. I wear a 10.5 Wide work boot. My boots are Timberland Pros. Just to be safe I ordered a 14 to give myself more room to get them on and off quickly. I couldn't even get them over the sole of the shoe.. When trying with a size 11 sneaker they went on just fine but were really tough to get off. After going through about 15 others, looking at the price, ability to be worn over shoes, height of boot, whether or not it was eligible for Prime shipping, and of course endless reviews of each one, I decided on the Cordova. This was to replace a pair I've had for about 12 years, now mostly taped up with duck tape. The pair I replaced was Boss brand, bought at a retail store that featured work clothes and gear. Since I was unable to physically handle the product to help my decision, I relied on those reviews to get an idea of the quality of the rubber.I am not disappointed in what arrived today. This boot looks well made and stands uprightly without flopping over; something my old boots never did. Had I seen these in a retail store, I would have chosen them without hesitation. I wear a size 10 shoe, and got size 12 boot. They fit over my work shoes just as my previous pair of size 12 did. The height of the boot is 15.5", not 17; about 1" shorter than my previous pair. For my use, that will not be an issue. I can now throw out the taped up boots, and expect this new pair to serve me well. If they do NOT, I will add to this review at a later date to let others know.
