I got it for my Lhasa-poo terrier mix because he likes to pull, and I felt his other harness was digging into his muscle while this one is much softer and thicker. I originally ordered the brown to bring out his eyes, but the black shipped. It is still good, and I like it better. It blends with his fur. Also, the silver buckles have not changed colors or rusted. I did have to adjust it. I got the small or the x-small. However, it is a perfect fit and makes me feel much better when he gets in his stubborn moods and has to be given an encouraging tug or when I was training him to heel and had to hold him back while he was trying to pull forward.
