After, it may work on and off, or may stop working altogether. Taking it off your finger and placing it on the door does work. In other words, just like the key card. It is supposed to work with the ring on, if not, then it defeats the purpose. I ordered a replacement thinking it was just that faulty ring, but the second one that arrived, followed the same pattern. If you don't mind taking the ring off to place it on the door, and taking it off to put it also on the center console to start the car, then you should be ok. Otherwise, for me it does not work, the key card is free and came with the car. The ring if I have to take it off it will be the same as the key card but paying $120.00. Makes no sense. Returning both of them.
