It works great - it holds the 7" tablet with no problem at all, and if you use the little supporting "leg", it even holds the 10" tablets very secure and stable. The only issue we've had was in a friend's Toyota Tacoma, the CD slot is completely vertical (not leaned back at all), and with a full-size ipad, it still didn't want to stay in the slot well, and would eventually work its way loose. Since the Tacoma isn't my car (and I wasn't the one testing it there), I love this mount and use it all the time. Review: it is just ok - I tried installing it on a Mustang 2014. However, it does feel it is too far away from the dash looking very post bought. I was looking something else that would look as it belongs to the car. However the mechanism that allows the unit to slide up down down is useless.
