It looks a little small at first. The colour is beautiful. I put it on the stove to heat up and remove just before boiling, and the paint is fine. If you use real teacups, like i do, it will pour 5 times. If a mug, maybe twice. It does not whistle. The inside is enamel and super easy to clean. It is heavy and the iron gets super hot, so use hotpads, i crocheted my own. Keeps tea hot for a long time.
