I was shocked at the water hammer this introduced in my plumbing: after each flush once the water draw was done, there was a loud "slam" inside my walls. You could here it halfway down the house and it would wake me up in the middle of the night if my wife flushed the toilet. This took 5 minutes to install and the noise is completely gone. Based on reviews, I'm going to assume this will last about a year so I already bought another one for the future and a third one to go in my kitchen to quiet down the water hammer from my dishwasher! Crossing my fingers that this lasts!
