Works for in swinging and out swinging gates. Just reverse the latch. **Q: 2 doors on my shed I need just a matching handle without thumb latch do they make this?** A: I haven't seen that offered anywhere, yet. **Q: Can this gate latch be locked form the inside? Like with a padlock? To keep from being opened** A: Yes **Q: This says "Equipped with easily operated locking feature for gates, sheds, and doors" so where do you put a lock?** A: You have to lock it from the inside. You cut out the square part on latch from the 4x4 and you can push handle inward and slide across. My biggest qualm is that there is nothing really holding the latch on the inside down, so you have to be extra careful if you have little ones or dogs. I would recommend an additional one-sided lock for security.
