Like the miniature bread in Spinal Tap, those kept folding in half and left me wondering what use they were. I found they bent so much once wet I was able to start tying simple knots in them. First a sheeps shank, and later a more challenging reef. I'd allowed myself to become distracted whilst there was washing up etc. outstanding so binned the remainder and shopped around.These bamboo buds are far superior and don't bend at the sight of water. Robust enough to utilise as a small skewer for the barbecue if ever caught short although you'd need to do a fair number for guests to be satiated.You get an enormous number for the money and they are nicely presented which isn't a must have for cotton buds but they come that way anyway so a nice bonus. Got four boxes and gave one to my mum who is going to make a log cabin out of them for snails for that bit of extra shelter over winter.
