It works very well at keeping oil based coatings and latex paints from skimming over or hardening in the can. You have to make sure that the lid is tight and sealed for it to be effective. I sometimes use Vaseline on the seal to help keep the air out and the Bloxygen in. I have latex paint that is 7 years old and still good to use after adding some water and stirring well.
