So, did that mean the quality is terrible? Not at all. The tooth of the paper is delightful: smooth enough for detailed representations and "toothy" enough to give some texture to a drawing. The covers are cardboard, which protects the paper when carrying the sketch book around; the double spiral binding will not spring out of shape, catching your favorite sweater and ruining it totally; the perforations are sharp, with an easy tear; and the weight of the paper is perfect, not just for drawing, but for mixed media art work as well.
