However, this seemed worth a try and I’m really impressed. It’s mounted solidly to my bars with a thin shim (mine are 31.8mm) and doesn’t move at all. Obviously you need to bear in mind it’s thin aluminium so be careful with the bolts (ie don’t over tighten and risk stripping the threads). I then cut down the mounting tube as I only needed room for my front light and it’s solved my problem of how to centre mount the light and make it work with hydraulic brake hose routing and my Quadlock phone mount. For the money, absolutely spot on.
