We've had the Cat Genie 120 Automatic Litter Box for 6 years and it is wonderful! We started with one cat and now have two and the cats use it every day. Yes, you have to use the Cat Genie sani-solution which lasts 240 washes and the plastic litter that lasts 6 months but you don't have to buy disposable litter every week so costs are not an issue. But you never have to scoop litter or replace bag full of litter. About once every 6 months you have to disassemble and clean but dissassembly is easy because construction is simple. About every 3 months or so the drain hose plugs but a water hose will flush the pluggage back into the unit and clear the problem. I installed ours in a hot water heater closet with a cat door, so out of sight is out of mind. We love it. I don't understand why it's not rated higher! If I didn't have this catbox, I'm not sure I'd have a cat, much less two!
