Verizon got so greedy that I felt I needed versatility to use other carriers in the area. Took other unit to my other place and got this multi carrier booster for main home. Total install was about an hour or so. Worked instantly. Boosted -112 signal to -44. Have metal roof here and closest carrier tower is 5 miles away over a high hill. Put booster antenna on a 5 foot pole on top of the roof and ran a temp install to test it out. Runs so good I haven't rerouted for a permanent install yet. This unit has 60' long cable so I'm going to mount antenna on a longer pole and get all the height I can for the best signal. IMPORTANT!!! Get the booster antenna as far away from the inside amplifier as you can! When I had the last unit 20 feet closer to the antenna I only had half the boost.Also, with this unit I don't have to fiddle with aiming the antenna like I did the other one. This antenna seems to pick up no matter where I point it regardless of tower location. I went from 1/2 bar to 0 bars on phone to 4-1/2 to 5 bars on my Nokia 3V phone and my wife (different carrier) went from 0 bars to 4 bars on her Moto. Works the same in windy conditions. (also tested other direction)The signal boosted from 1bar to 4bar.However, the boost has no impact to 4G speed. Still have trouble to open webpage. As OpenSignal speed test shows, download speed improved a little, from 231Kbps to 288Kbps, latency unchanged, upload speed is even slower with the boost.Might be useful to others, but no luck for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Know What To Expect From This Product *by T***Z on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020* First, I like this product because it has helped me solve a nagging problem but I don't believe it will cover 2,500 square feet. Following the manufacturer instructions, I tested signal strength in my house and in my yard to determine optimal position of external antenna and indoor booster. After it was hooked up and operating, I went back through my house and tested for signal strength. Best signal strength was obtained with direct line of sight between phone and indoor booster. I have block walls in my home so signal strength dropped off dramatically when there is a wall between phone and booster. Also, and this is what I found most surprising, even with direct line of sight, signal strength started to drop at more than 10 feet distance from the booster. The booster had almost no measurable effect at about 20 feet. So, my estimation is that is most effective for only one room. I did internet speed tests with it and was very pleased that I could get download and upload speeds in the vicinity of 20 mbps on each when I was within 10 feet of the booster. Upload speeds, like signal strength, dropped off the further I got from the booster.
