My Quaker parrot loves this! I purchase this type of bed during warmer seasons. He jumps in it so nonchalantly and uses it to play and sleep. He also loves to chew on the sides when he gets very excited so it becomes a bit worn. However, the worn parts do not pose too much of a concern as the holes are closer to the top of the triangle and would very unlikely get his talons caught in the shreds he creates. The great thing is there is no fluff on the inside that would pose a choking hazard. I got him a medium bed and there is ample space! He can easily turn around in the bed with his long tail. The small bed would be a bit too short in my opinion. His tail would most definitely hang out. Overall, the material is sturdy, cotton made and washable. My parrot often pulls the inner lining out when he plays so after repetitive ejections, I just let him sleep on the bare bed without the inner piece.
