Skin toned undergarments are a must. I had purchased it to wear on its own, but I think it is more appropriate under a sweater or sheer top.Its thinness makes it perfect for summer layering, though. I have a sheer top that I can wear over it.I typically wear 18W or 1X. I purchased this top in 1X. It’s form fitting, which is good if you are going to wear something over it. If you want to wear it on its own or with a shrug, you may want to order a size up.
