So after agonizing about the positive and negative reviews of this item (and other similar items like it) I took the plunge because I thought it was worth a try. And so glad I did - this item worked exactly as I hoped it would. My Ryobi hand drill fit in the press stand perfectly. The base of the stand was lighter & thinner than I would have expected, but once it was securely clamped to my workbench the whole setup was super-stable. And it perfectly drilled my holes. Reminded me of my days in workshop class!
