The yarn was very easy to work with and did not split at all, and the final product is extremely soft and drapes almost like silk. The only issue is that my daughter is hypersensitive to wool, so she finds the scarf slightly itchy around her neck, but on her arms, the yarn is just fine. I do not have this issue of an itchy neck while wearing the scarf, so for most people, I think itchiness is a non-issue. Soft, enjoyable to work. Wonderful quality. In six balls not one knot, nicely even and securely spun yarn that had nice give in working but never thinned too much. Used in a baby blanket with size four needles. (Daughter lives in Florida so I was looking for a looser knit to lighten the blanket). Size one to three is recommended but I was pleased with quality. As with all fuzzy ( I use the term loosely here... since shed was minimum ) piercing the yarn can slow down knitting speed. I found the integrity of the yarn minimized the piercing problem. Great drape.
