Water won't bleed through. We first bought an extra long one as the only curtain for a shower in a remodel of a painfully small bathroom. Didn't want shower doors to contribute to "smallness" of the narrow room, plus my husband and I expect to remain in our house as we age and glass doors in a narrow room could become obstacles. There is just a small step down into the shower. The curtain dries quickly and it is tucked out of sight behind a 11" stub wall. Lovely flowing material that laundered well. (I think it can go in a dryer but why bother) I bought another one as a liner for a tub shower curtain in our other bath.
