I ordered both the on ear and over ear types so I could choose the keepers based on fit and sound quality. Right now I have these on my head and despite listening to a fairly loud song I can still hear the movie my kids have on TV albiet not completely. I would expect over ears to block out sound better. Not only that, but my family keeps looking over at me as the music changes so I can tell that they are hearing what I am listening to at some level and finding it annoying. My kids use $30 urban ears and I can't hear their stuff nor can they hear me when they have their urban ears on with music. So as far as sound goes there is not a definite bubble of sound around my ears. However the sound QUALITY from these headphones is excellent! I am definitely enjoying the full range of sound of all varieties of music I have played through them so far. They are also soft on the ear and comfortable on my head while being naturally a little bulky. I appreciate the cord thickness and the obvious fact that these will not tangle in my purse or bag. The down side, however, is that the teeth on the "zipper" gimmick are fairly sharp plastic. So having that run across your arm as you reach for something is not comfortable, and they create a little rough edge and extra weight that isn't really needed. It also makes the upper half of the cord less flexible because of the zipper part. Without the zipper the cord still would be tangle free and very nice quality, the zipper is just the gimmick. I would rather have the soft headphones, quality sound, heavy cord and nice bag without the extra weight and roughness of the zipper gimmick. I think I will actually be sending these back for a pair without the zipper part on the front. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Sound Quality; However NOT Over-The-Ear and Cables Make a Lot of Noise *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2014* I ended up sending these headphones back to Amazon for a refund, and here's why:When I first received these headphones, I was extremely excited about the build quality and materials that they used for them. These really are awesome looking headphones and will definitely produce a bunch of questions from friends. I quickly adjusted them to fit my head and did a bunch of tests; these headphones sounded better than any others that I had tried on for sure (my friend had a pair of $300 beats and they didn't even compare.)Up to this point, I was thrilled with my purchase. However, as the next few days went by I realized that there were some big issues with these headphones. First of all, you hear every little movement that the zipper makes and also every time that the cord touches anything. You actually have to be sitting still the entire time in order to get the full experience from these headphones because otherwise you'll hear a bunch of extra banging. This means no walking around campus listening to music unless you have them turned up really loud. This was the first deal-breaker.Next, I found that after wearing these headphones for a couple hours, the top and bottom part of my ears got really sore. I realized that this was because these headphones sit ON my ear, not OVER. And I have small ears. A lot of the other over-the-ear headphones that I had tried on cleared my ears by a mile, but not these. They sat right on the top and bottom of both of my ears and it was very uncomfortable.If it weren't for these two huge problems in design of these headphones, they would be my favorite and I would have kept them. I am very happy with the transaction and the product was delivered earlier than expected. The packaging was handled carefully and the product wasn't damaged. Received everything I needed :)These headphones are suitable for DJ headphones because of its features and great sound. They are big, bulky and very durable. It's head band is very soft and wide. It's made of leather and in the inside there's a metal headband. They can stretch widely, so a very big head can fit in these headphones. They are also portable, they can be folded into a smaller size.The ear cups are very soft than expected! They are comfortable enough even though I wear glasses. I can wear them for a couple of hours! The ear cups cover over your whole ears so they can isolate some of the sounds coming from the drivers. But, they are not the best noise isolation headphones in the market, they weren't considered as noise isolating headphones either. They do leek some sounds when you turn the music to a higher volume, such as 75%-100%. But at about 75%-80% volume, it won't be really noticeable when you're in the public or in a crowd or in class.The ear cups are also able to rotate, but not in a full 360 degrees. They can go up and down and over the side and the other side. The hinges of the ear cups are made of stainless steel and also the surrounding design on the outside of the ear cups. The outside ear cups are made of hard silicone, this boosts up the life durability of the headphones.The headphones have a 50mm drivers, so they do a good job on the bass. They also give clear sounds on the highs and mids. They are good to be used for different types of music.I really like the detachable cable. They are although heavier than other cables, but they are superbly durable! The cable has a texture of a rope, since it doesn't look like plastic or made of plastic at all. The zipper is made of hard plastic and it's a very nice helpful design.The case of the headphones is very durable, but a little bulky. I also think it's rather sort of small for the headphones. Since I had to push down the case to close it fully. The packaging of the headphones is very nice and simple. It was easy enough to open product.The price ( $79.99 ) is a fair enough price for these headphones. The price shouldn't go any higher than that price.In conclusion my ratings of these headphones:Sound: 8/10Noise Isolation: 6/10Durability: 10/10Style: 10/10I would recommend these headphones to people who loves music, bass and also who would like a very nice design!
