Review: Not fancy, not beautiful, but it works well. - I used to slash my loaves with a freshly sharpened knife, but this blade is better in most ways. Because it uses a disposable blade, I can now avoid excessive sharpening of my kitchen knives. Since the razor blade, when mounted on the shaft, is slightly curved, the gesture needed for a good cut is different from a straight knife, but I am finding that I am improving with practice. The handle has good length & weight. It seems utilitarian and not especially robust, but I think it will be adequate for the job. The little protective sleeve for the blade is a good idea.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leather Blade Cover and Extra Blade is a Real Benefit

I selected this item, because it has a nice wood handle like similar items but was much cheaper for what you get. I appreciate that it came with extra blades. Putting the blade into the tool for the first time was pretty intimidating, because I did not want to cut myself, but I managed. I'm glad it has the cover to protect me and the tool. It works as expected for scoring bread dough.
