All of the connectors are metal, and the locking screws are really well made. I did trim the "rope" down a little, but that was very easy. I cut the rope section with scissors and tightened the screw again, and everything was perfect for my height.The swiveling metal connectors are pretty awesome tbh. My last jump rope would rub on the edge of my thumbs when I jumped really fast, but this system keeps the rope away from your hands. It's very smooth and fluid, and it makes no noise. I also like that the rope section is light and doesn't slap me if I miss a jump. This is the way all jump ropes should be made!I'll be getting a lot of use out of this thing and it looks like it will last a very long time. During that time I have owned many jump ropes and have pretty much gone through the evolution of jump ropes so I fell like I have a good resource to draw on when evaluating this rope.My primary ropes are the Ballistyx 360 ropes and the crossrope get fit ropes. The Epitome Speed Rope is super fast and easy to adjust and like the name of the rope you can definitely get some speed with this rope. Another thing that I like is that this rope is super light and has become my defecto traveling rope.
