It's thin, but it has a significant cushioning layer that is very well made and protects your laptop from top to bottom. Many computer bags fail to protect your computer at the place where the zipper is, the people who made it thought of that. The material is waterproof. Not that you can't swim with it, but a city rain won't get in.This is a perfect bag for people who want to carry a laptop without many other things. You can put other things, there are pockets for that, but the bag won't hold its shape and will not look good.
