I was looking to replace my shark steam mop that I’ve had for four years as it finally kicked the bucket and stopped steaming. As a replacement I was looking for something that didn’t have a thousand attachments because my shark had it and I only used them once. I’ve gotten my routine down to where I vacuum the whole house and then steam and that’s a timely process. I didn’t even know they made two-in-ones like this one! I have a messed up arm from heavy equipment like hand-held vacuums and the shark steam mop because it swivels all crazy. This one ended up being heavy but it didn’t aggravate my arm at all. It doesn’t allow for crazy swivels so there was minimal risk for hurting my arm. And let me say, vacuuming and steaming as you go is the BEST! I was so nervous because it completely changes the routine and I found myself overthinking about how I was going to work it literally. Like do you vacuum and then steam, or do you do both simultaneously? Like, how do I do it?! I finally just went in and went with it. And it went beautifully and cut my floor-cleaning in half! Whole house done in just one go! I only had to refill the water tank once compared to three times before with old product. And the cord is the usual length. The handle is adjustable if you need to make it shorter or taller. And I like to have multiple pads on hand so I can change as I go. Our floors can’t take any chemicals on them.** A: I use Distilled Water and it cleans the floors great! **Q: i have no serial # on the product to register the product should be on the back but it is not there any answers ?** A: I had the same trouble finding the serial and model number when working with Bissell customer service. I can highly recommend this one without hesitation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth every penny! *by A***P on July 18, 2021* I was skeptical before purchase, but the concept was a no-brainer as a single mom, & I’ve been happy with my other Bissell products, so I had to at least try when I found it went on sale prime day, & I couldn’t afford the Crosswave. I’m so glad I did try it, wish I had gotten MUCH sooner! I love being able to take the pads off to wash & reuse them instead of having to keep buying disposable pads (but will buy an extra scrubbing pad just to have on hand). The device is SO easy to set up, & especially to use it - it works exactly as I had hoped, if not better. I love that the handle is adjustable, it goes low enough so it fits under AC unit in laundry/utility room, saving space. The vacuum suction works even in my tile grout cracks, which I was most concerned about - it had no issues cleaning little sticky spots on kitchen floor. I vacuum 1st before getting floor wet, & once the floor is wet, I keep vacuum on & if vacuum doesn’t get any remaining debris up while mopping, the mop pad does get it. The steam is HOT, maybe more than I expected. This device really made vacuuming/mopping my floors so much faster & with using less effort. The dirty mop pad in pic was just from my small kitchen (the floor didn’t seem terribly dirty before I mopped as you can see from the photos, but the pad shows different - it works!). The 1st time using, I used the scrubbing pad 1st, then went back over it with the 2nd regular mop pad, just in case, to see how much the scrubbing pad left behind, but 2nd pad wasn’t needed since the scrubbing pad did such a good job cleaning floor by itself. I lowered my rating 1 star for 3 reasons (all minor) - device was just a little heavier than I expected, but not to the point of being uncomfortable - about the weight of a regular size vacuum give or take. The handle trigger is very sensitive to squeeze (but I wouldn’t want it to be hard to squeeze neither), I end up always squeezing the trigger just from holding the handle while pushing device back & forth, so I’m not sure it’s really in a good place - but it doesn’t interfere using device, I’m just not sure of the point of it since it stays squeezed from just holding the handle while using). Second, & most importantly for me, I wish the width of the mop/vac plate was shorter in width so it could get into tight places easier (like in between wall/hutch, or toilet/wall), I have to turn it sideways in some spaces to get it to fit in, but if mop/vac part was about an inch or so smaller, it would fit better without having to turn it (for my home anyway), & the plate does come off a little easy, but it really hasn’t been an issue for me when using it, & thats better than if it were hard to get the plate off. Third, I wish it had a scented cleaner sprayer on it, because I like my floors to smell clean, I didn’t use any cleaner 1st time using device so I could see how well it worked with just steaming, & to prevent any possibility of potentially causing any kind issues over time. These 3 “cons”, for lack of a better word, were not serious enough to impact my rating anymore than just 1 star - with all that said, I am impressed & so glad I got it, wish I had it much sooner, especially when I lived in my previous home that had 1500sf of hard floors - would’ve been a back saver for sure.
