It seemed to work for smallmouth bass though. I was using it and literally fishing 5 ft from my husband and I caught fish and he didn’t. I’m going to try it on trout soon! **Q: How frequently do you have to apply? Every cast? Every 10 casts?** A: I never honestly paid much attention to how often I apply. Basically, when I use it the first time it's t try to locate the bite, and from there fishing happens. I might apply some maybe 20 minutes later when I move to a new location, but that's the best I can do. Just know you're not going to catch every time you cast, so the best I can offer is maybe every 5 casts or so. **Q: will it work in saltwater?** A: Yes , but sent is created for bass in particular.
