The length of the riser/ gooseneck is, as others have noted, rather short, but a 12” galvanized nipple in 1/2” connected with a coupling allowed me to plumb it in at a normal height for the controls, and still looks just fine. (A chrome plated brass nipple would cost at least 6 times as much). If you’re not familiar enough with plumbing to know that you absolutely must use Teflon tape or pipe dope on the threads, you might want to leave the installation to a professional. I inverted the mixer body in order to plumb it from below, easily done and the plug to fill the unused side fits either one. Excellent quality casting, finish is just right for a semi “rustic” look.
