He has grown 6 inches in the last year so I couldn’t stomach spending $50 again. I don’t know how they would hold up to being worn more than once a week, since the fabric quality isn’t great but the fit is nice (he is slim but not skinny) and they have stayed looking nicer than I thought they would. I would compare the quality to a gap outlet pant. The fit is slim but not so skinny they hugs his calves. I would say they are a casual khaki, not nice enough to wear with a sport coat bc the cotton isn’t super smooth.
