I had to take nails and thread my cord around doorways and across a ceiling. That being said, this chord survived that process and is still going strong! However, some networked devices are quite sensitive to static discharge and will misbehave or reboot with even the smallest static shock. Specifically, this was the case with a 5MP Stardot Netcam SC when using PoE. Standard unshielded cable does nothing to prevent this, but this cable's plugs have metal sides which are linked together, presumabily by a 9th wire (I haven't cut one open), to enable you to electrically ground the connected device.Anyway, this cable passed all tests on my cable tester, including the ground test.
