The material is soft, it's not too tight and is stretchy. Hits about knee length (I am 5'6) so it feels modest. Cool and doesn't make me hot at night. The part that folds up for nursing is good coverage and have triangles underneath so you are covered even when it folds up if you're only needing one side out.
