Review: Fits older Brinkmann models! - Ash pan was totally adjustable for my Brinkmann Chargriller. Was unable to find a model number on the grill when I made the purchase so I had to guess. (I don't see any Brinkmann Grills for sale any longer.) Thank goodness the seller mentioned "Brinkmann" in the description. The ONLY negative feature is the fact that the grates are not removable. They are permanently welded to the pan/tray. Will definitely be keeping this Ash Pan however, since it is prolonging the use of my Chargriller. Thanks ever so much!

**Q: How wide are the hangers?**
A: 6-1/2 inches

**Q: Should this ash pan be seasoned like you would the rest of the inner parts of the grill?**
A: No need to season as this pan is only used to place the coals. I found this pan to be a exact fit as the original and allowed me to restore a thirteen year old coal grill that I have enjoyed using.

**Q: can you use this to convert a gas grill to charcoal?**
A: I don't see why it couldn't be used to cover the gas burner if you have a deep enough gas grill.  Or if you were to take the gas burner completely out.  But this will not stop the ash from overflowing the sides and getting underneath.   Hope this helps.

**Q: will this item fit a gas grill?**
A: This item is specifically for the Char Griller with the 20" grill area. Like this:

I'm really happy with this item. It's much better quality than the one that originally came with my grill. And the included metal ties were nice to secure the grates at the proper spacing.
