Works well - these racks are essential to every kitchen to best take advantage of the space inside the pot when you steam anything, and provide even steaming for superior results. I got 2 of these; one 8" diameter and the other 7" so i could utilize 2 tiers. That part worked great but I deducted 1 star for the discoloration or staining after one use. Don't know what's up with that.
