Completing this powerful package are two complementary software selections: Avid Pro Tools Express and Ignite by AIR music creation software. M-Track Plus offers compatibility with a range of audio sources — including digital. Each channel offers an XLR input for use with microphones or other Lo-Z sources, plus a balanced 1/4" input. The phantom power switch delivers 48V to the XLR inputs for use with condenser microphones. The 1/4" line input can be switched to allow an electric guitar or bass to be plugged directly into the M-Track Plus. In addition, S/PDIF (coax) in and out jacks provided direct access to digital studio equipment. Each channel is equipped with an insert jack for adding studio—grade effects as you record—a professional addition not often found in this class of interface. M-Track Plus offers ultra-low latency monitoring of the input signal. The monitor mix knob adjusts the balance between the direct inputs and the playback from your computer software. This makes it easy to record new parts or add layers to an existing composition. The Headphone output offers its own level control.
