I printed a trail map at a local print shop. They did not have adventure paper so I printed it on the roll of paper under their large format printer. I measured it and put the folds I wanted in the map so I could fold it to carry. Then I took it outside and applied the Never-Wet following the instructions that came with the product. I told someone what it was supposed to do, but had not tried running water over the treated map. So I did. I literally held the treated map under running water for almost a minute. The water just beaded up and ran off. There is no question rain will not be a problem. I THINK the never-Wet treatment might also help make the paper a little more durable. Only time will tell on that. As some other reviewers noted, the treated paper does have a different "feel". It almost feels "fuzzy" like the texture of a peach. But the map is no less readable for having the Never-Wet treatment and no less usable. The instructions were clearly written, easy to understand and follow and the product worked fine.
