When I put up a huge gazebo in my back garden, I put it up against my house and had to loose the badly wired outdoor lamp that was controlled by an inside switch. When I saw how completely non-up to code, rusted, and unsafe the wiring of the lamp was, I didn't have the heart to re-do it all since I'm just renting. Perusing amazon led me to Woods products and it was a life saver. My only concern with purchasing a triple was the lip on the two outer outlets and the spacing. Two of the three of my outdoor lights strands have large and 90 degree angle plugs and I wasn't sure they would work with both the lip and the width. After enjoying my Wood's single outlet product for a while, I went ahead and ordered this one, plus a Sockit box. I couldn't be happier. No, you cannot attach three blocky plugs onto this, but if I place the standard plug in the center, the two larger plugs fit securely and properly (albeit snuggly) on either side. Now all of my connections are water-safe and I have the amazing ability to turn the outside lights on from anywhere inside or outside of my house. Very good range. Remote from my single Woods works on same channel. Very happy with quality, ease of set up and use, and range. Before I found this product I literally had to go outside, around to the corner of the fence and scramble with multiple plugs to plug lights in for light to let my dog out. Getting behind them to turn them off is often a challenge or impossible without a Herculean effort. You either leave them on all the time getting hot and creating heat or or you go to great pains to turn them on and off . In my case that includes several devices (instruments of torture).Enter the Woods 59745WD. I have three of these I connect my powered monitors and subwoofer so with the push of a couple of buttons I can easily turn them on or off as needed.In many way it even better then the devices themselves having front panel power buttons. I can have up to three devices turn on with one button push.So I can turn on my Monitors, my DAC and Sub (or what ever combination you need) with a single button push.I also use some smart plugs and smart power strip to do similar functions, and that is also an option. The advantage of these is that the remote can be conveniently on you dest and all you have to do is push a button. With the smart plugs you either have to open the app to gain access to you various plugs or set it up with Google home control to give voice commands like, "turn on PC Audio" to hav e it turn on various device used for that.I like these a lot.I don't use these out doors so can't comment on that aspect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE 6/22/16: a miraculous recovery since first review Of: Would give 0 stars if I could; the item did not work at all! *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2016* I was happy to see this arrive a day earlier than stated, but I was hugely disappointed when the item did not work. I followed directions exactly, but there was no power to the unit & I was unable to use the remote (no light blinked). I am returning it for a refund--NOT a replacement.**UPDATE:** When I went to put the unit back into the packaging to return it, the red light on the remote blinked on for a second. I excitedly plugged everything back in...but it didn't work again. But because I knew it COULD work--at least for a little while--I fiddled with the batteries a couple of times until after a few tries, everything worked as it was supposed to. I didn't expect this to last, but after a week it is still working & I am really happy with it! I'm using it to power two outdoor patio fountains. At the end of the day, I walk up to the patio door & hit the 'off' button. I don't need to go outside or get really close to the plug. I just point the remote in the right direction from about 4 feet away (indoors).
