This is great quality and relatively inexpensive casting rod that acts and feels like a more premium product. For the price i paid for it (there are typically coupons available for most Cadence products sold on Amazon) there is a lot of value here. At 7'3" it is the perfect length i was looking for in a Fast / Medium Heavy configuration. It is nicely balanced and light weight. I like the way it feels in my hands. It has plenty of backbone and picks up well on the strike - definitely aided by the length. The tip is sensitive enough as well. I had a lot of fun throwing Chatterbaits and frogs on this rod this summer. For comparison my favorite casting rod is my Daiwa Tatula Elite which costs more than double.I have several other Cadence rods, although this is the only casting model. I have a great deal of confidence in Cadence rods and mix them in with my Shimano and Daiwa gear quite happily.The rod was shipped well packaged in a rod tube and arrived quickly.
