Review: Perfect pet door training flap - This flap is perfect for my needs. It’s made of thick material that stays in place well while still being easy to push through. I bought a PetSafe sliding glass door insert for my cat, but she wouldn’t use the flap that came with it. I bought this flap to help her get used to going through the door, but it’s not as heavy as the PetSafe flap, which is a single solid flap. Since I only intend to use this flap temporarily during this training period, I didn’t install it with screws. Instead, I taped it to my door, and the painters tape has held it up just fine! This flap is definitely of good quality and can be used as a permanent solution. However, I wanted to share that it works perfectly as a training piece for pet doors! See the photo - you can see my cat still trying to go under the gap I left instead of through the flaps, but I know we’ll eventually get her trained. 😂 Review: Doggie door flap - Easy installation. Holds up great for my big dog. Looks amazing and easy to wipe clean. Highly recommend when creating a doggy door. Fits as expected. ## Features - Clear, weather-resistant vinyl dog house door flap which measures 12.6 x 16.9 in H; Compatible with TRIXIE Dog House model 39471/39531 - Keep your pet safe and protect them against wind, rain, and cold; these replacement flaps work best with wooden dog houses - Keeps dog house warm, dry, draft-free with these plastic door curtain; for best results measure your doghouse door opening to ensure best fit - Simple installation: attach door flap to the inside wooden dog house door frame - hardware is provided - Caution: This product is made of plastic and is not chew-proof so inspect regularly if your dog likes to chew! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000WFG5LG | | Best Sellers Rank | #24,279 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #71 in Dog Doors | | Brand | TRIXIE | | Brand Name | TRIXIE | | Closure Type | Flap | | Color | Clear Plastic | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 6,810 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Medium, Small | | Frame Material | Plastic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04011905395913 | | Included Components | Dog House Door Flap | | Item Type Name | Dog House Door Flap | | Item Weight | 12.8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Trixie Pet Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | 39591 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | One year. | | Material | Vinyl | | Material Type | Vinyl | | Mattress Thickness | 0.25 inches | | Maximum Compatible Thickness | 0.25 inches | | Minimum Compatible Thickness | 0.25 inches | | Minimum compatible thickness | 0.25 inches | | Model Number | 39591 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pet Type | Dog | | Size | 12.6 x 16.9 inch | | Target Audience | Cats, Dogs | | Weight Capacity Maximum | 50 pounds | ## Product Details - **Size:** 12.6 x 16.9 inch - **Brand:** TRIXIE - **Color:** Clear Plastic - **Material:** Vinyl - **Closure Type:** Flap ## Images ![39591 - TRIXIE natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap, 12.6 x 16.9-in - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51SOnMRtakL.jpg) ![39591 - TRIXIE natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap, 12.6 x 16.9-in - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71+3HOew3qL.jpg) ![39591 - TRIXIE natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap, 12.6 x 16.9-in - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51dbtLYwhtL.jpg) ![39591 - TRIXIE natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap, 12.6 x 16.9-in - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GkDMOMUYL.jpg) ![39591 - TRIXIE natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap, 12.6 x 16.9-in - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71yelGMQv1L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect pet door training flap *by T***R on February 28, 2026* This flap is perfect for my needs. Holds up great for my big dog. Looks amazing and easy to wipe clean. Highly recommend when creating a doggy door. Fits as expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Quality, But Arrived Bent *by M***. on September 20, 2025* The Trixie Natura Vinyl Dog Door Flap is made of solid, clear plastic and feels durable—definitely good quality for a replacement flap. It fits the dog house opening as described and works well once installed. Unfortunately, mine arrived bent, which made installation a bit tricky and affected the overall look. It eventually flattened out somewhat, but I wish it had been packaged better to avoid the issue. Decent product, but the shipping condition took away from the experience. ## Frequently Bought Together - Trixie Vinyl Dog Door Flap, Fits 12 x 15.75-in Wooden Dog House Opening, Replacement Doggie Door Curtain Flap for Wooden Doghouses - BestPet Dog House Indoor Outdoor Insulated Kennel Durable Plastic Dog House for Small Medium Large Dogs Weather & Water Resistant Pet Crate with Air Vents and Elevated Floor - PETMAKER Small/Medium Self Warming Thermal Crate Pad-25x18-Chocolate,Brown --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/14907512-39591-trixie-natura-vinyl-dog-door-flap-12-6-x](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/14907512-39591-trixie-natura-vinyl-dog-door-flap-12-6-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
