Review: Awesome, innovative toy - I'm an adult fan of the movie/series and bought this for myself. I don't really collect toys but the mechanism sounded like the coolest thing since air pressure powered actions in Zoids. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. First of all, the toy is very well made. The plastic is thick and durable, and the legs, ears and wings allow for bending. Even the roughest kid will have a hard time outright breaking this toy. The jaw hinges are probably the weakest part. For the price, you'd expect durability and quality materials, and they seem to have delivered on this point. The mechanisms worked right away. When filling the cartridge with water, I tilted the toy so the water would spread and more would be absorbed. If you don't do this, it might trick you into thinking the cartridge is full when not that much water is in there. Another good way to tell is how the toy balances when its wings are folded back. When the cartridge is empty, the toy will be slightly heavier in the tail end. Once it's full, it stands firm on its legs. The LED light is strong and you can really see the "smoke" when the lights are dim or off. The projectile doesn't have a great deal of power to it but I can still shoot my cat from a few feet away. The only con I've experienced with the product is the tail. It is a real pain to attach. My dad and I fussed with it a while and contemplated taking the toy apart, but then I grabbed it, braced the head against myself, tightened my abs, and just went hulk-mode. Amazingly, it worked. Brute strength seems to be the answer to getting the tail attached. At least you know that thing will never, NEVER come off. But yeah, this is one cool toy and I love it! Highly recommended.
Review: Wings must be pulled back BEFORE attaching the tail! - This toy is awesome!! All 3 of my children love the movie 'How to Train Your Dragon' and this toy was the biggest hit of Christmas morning. As far as I can tell, most of the negative reviews are related to the assembly of the tail to the body of the dragon. Many reviewers complained that the tail piece doesn't fit and some said they pushed so hard they actually broke the tail trying to put it on. This is because they are doing it incorrectly, NOT because of a flaw in the toy. HIS WINGS MUST BE PULLED BACK BEFORE INSERTING THE TAIL! If the tail doesn't click easily into the body of the tail it's because you already fully extended his wings. Things have to be done in the correct order. When his wings are pulled back in the 'dive' position, the tail clicks into place with very little pressure. Unfortunately this is never stated in the instructions, you're just left to figure it out on your own - but it's a flaw in the instructions, not a flaw in the toy itself. This is a great toy and I've had 3 ecstatic children playing with it non-stop since Christmas morning.

### ⭐ Tail doesn't fit
*by M***N on January 4, 2014*

Like others have said, the tail tabs are set further apart than the body slots, making assembly impossible. We're on our second dragon, thinking Santa's elves made the first one poorly, but nope, seems to be a flaw in all of them. I'm sure it's a cool toy, but it's a nightmare to put together. It's going back, again...
