I chose grommets because I'd be opening and closing frequently, and wanted something that slides easily. For me, for this usage, the rods are great.But if you have wider windows, be aware. The connector that holds the two sides together (visible in Amazon's first two product pictures) ends up as a protrusion. If you're using this for curtains, especially for grommeted ones, the curtains will not slide over this bump easily. For me, 33 inch windows means the bump is just 5" from one side, so I installed them so the bump is on the side where the curtains hang when opened, and it actually helps anchor the last grommet on that side. But for wider windows, the bump would be closer to the center. 40" windows would mean the bump is a foot out, and perhaps far more annoying for sliding curtains over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars It does not fall down. *by P***B on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2021* The media could not be loaded.  It's very sturdy and I created a nice look in my bathroom.
