Cons: - The overlapping edge of flap material can disappear very quickly with accidental misuse, - Doesn't seem to work anywhere near as aggressively on material that has been wire brushed. Story time: I've been using these disks for a total of about a year. The individual disks probably last me around 2 months at near daily use, at welding school and with a little life still left in them. With very careful application of pressure using a worn down disk, it is possible to get a nearly glass smooth finish. Weld bead approximately 1 to 2/8ths of an inch are very quickly ground flat by fresh and fairly well used disks, about 30 seconds or so per inch of weld. If used with the flap material flat against the material to be flapped, these disks will last approximately 3 months in a welding school environment of 4 hour days. As with anything misuse will damage the lifespan.
