Review: Do yourself a favor and buy these over the Delco advantage - These worked very well for rear disc brakes on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS. Included necessary hardware, wear indicators mounted to inner pads, and a small packet of silicone grease. My rear calipers have the screw in type piston and you have to be certain to position the groove to align with nub on back side of inner pad. These are good quality with low dust. Highly recommend Delco professional grade over the Delco advantage pads.

**Q: Why do brakes need to be replaced in the first place?**
A: Friction material on the brake pads or shoes rubs against rotors or drums to slow the vehicle. In time, that material wears away and the pads/shoes must be replaced. Sometimes the rotors and drums also must be replaced.

**Q: What’s the squealing sound I hear when braking?**
A: Over time, wear indicators in brakes pads may contact the rotors’ surface when braking, resulting in a metallic squealing sound. Vehicles equipped with wear sensors may also provide an alert that minimum brake pad thickness has been reached.

**Q: What if it’s more of a grinding sound?**
A: If all the friction material has been worn away, the metal backing plate of the brake pad will be the material in contact with the rotor during braking. It causes a grinding sound and braking performance is often diminished.

**Q: Why do the brakes seem to pulsate when stopping?**
A: It may be due to poor-quality brake pads, warped rotors or unevenly worn tires. Have the pulsation diagnosed as soon as possible to avoid the possibility of greater brake-system wear or damage.

**Q: What about vibrations or shaking in the steering wheel?**
A: This is more serious than pulsation. If the brakes are very worn or the rotors are warped, there can be a significant vibration or shaking in the steering wheel when braking. It may mean brake service is needed immediately.

These worked very well for rear disc brakes on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS. Included necessary hardware, wear indicators mounted to inner pads, and a small packet of silicone grease. Outstanding price and performance on my '07 G6. As tends to happen with pads sometimes, I had to grind down the slider tabs on 2 of the pads to get them to fit properly in the rear caliper. It seems the powder coating was a bit too thick and caused the pads to bind when I attempted to install them as-is. Once I took a little off the tabs they fit fine and have been performing very well since I installed them several thousand miles ago. I definitely recommend these pads along with the AC-Delco Professional series OEM rotors available on Amazon.
