However, you MUST calibrate scale upon arrival AND it can only be calibrated with a 100 gram weight. Very simple to do and the instructions are on the lid. If you buy one of these pocket scales without the 100 gram weight, then you will not be able to calibrate and the readings will not be accurate. After calibration I tested this scale with a known 5 gram weight and the included 100 gram weight, both showed 100% accurate readings. In fact, I could not get the scale to be off by 0.01 gram even after several attempts. This scale is spot on when it comes to grams.
