They're very shiny, therefore the light reflects off of them. If you're looking for semi sheer then these are for you. They definitely let light in but they do not allow you to see out. It's hard to find a good sheer. In addition, When it's quite bright, the curtain actually gives off quite a glare.In the photo, this product is on your right, the product on the left is the one I'll be keeping instead. Notice that on the left you can see the greens and Browns of the outdoors. In real life, I can actually see the trees and bushes. Great color in evening light and the light still coming through in daylight ( see photos). The dusty blue is about what I expected after seeing the onscreen color.
