The stamping plate comes covered in a blue film so nothing is scratched. The plates are engraved very deep and every image I tried came out perfect the first time. I love these so much I bought three of them. St. Happy, St. Holly and St. Lover. No repeat stamps and great stamping every time. The plate itself is a heavy, solid plate with over "50" stamps on each plate. I can guarantee you, you will love these plates. This is the first plate I bought to try stamping and it was the perfect one to try. Right out of the gate it looked like I knew what I was doing. The images came out crisp and clear. Sadly I learned later that I was not a pro on my first try. I've had lots of practice on different plates with different techniques, polishes and stampers. You just have to practice and find what works for you. These really are great plates and have very, very nice designs on them. So far I have every one they've released and will buy more if they make more. The designs are nice and big so if you've got long nails like me, they should fit. If you have shorter nails it still works.. and if you want to try to get the whole design on your nail you can youtube how to shrink the designs. It's fairly easy, you can also enlarge them.The designs are etched really well, I don't have any trouble picking up the designs. If you do then then it could be your polish or stamper, remember also that you need to work fairly quickly too.If you like nail stamping I would definitely recommend these. I am new to stamping and am very pleased. I used a Creative Shop stamper,L.A Colors nail polish in Red Alert and the images came out beautifully. The nail polish I purchased from a $1 store. I like the fact there is several open designs where I can fill in with other colors using a thin nail art brush. Also as you see in the picture of a customers post, you can also stamp the plates name (St.Lover) and the companies name (Gogoonly).
