Whatever you chose to put in the flask, it will stay warm all day!, and would imagine anything cold would stay cold all day in the summer too (ice cream?). No noticeable heat escaped to the outer shell of the flask in my backpack throughout the day, showing how efficient the flask is. The top is nice and wide, allowing for eating straight from the flask with a long reach spoon. As with all flasks, the lid also doubles up as a cup/mini bowl. Finally, the lid stopper seems solid and a good o-ring seal has never leaked even with the flask being inverted all day. Highly recommended product.
