Review: The Pixel 3 XL 128 GB is a rocket ship phone. I will never go back to Samsung. - Buying my pixel through desertcart renewed has been a positive experience. It is a used phone and I did manage to find, after very very very carefully searching, to extremely fine subsurface Mars that are unnoticeable to anyone but me, especially with the phone on. For all intents and purposes it looks brand new. The phone in and of itself is everything that I had hoped it to be. The performance and the battery life is great with tons of options to balance performance or balance battery life depending on that particular day's needs. as for the individual seller that put it up for sale on desertcart renewed I am also happy with them. The initial box I received was labeled with 128 GB and the phone was the 64. I'm sure it was a simple accident when it was originally packed months and months ago. The replacement was sent immediately upon notice, and I had 45 days to return the old one. I really like this policy. It's an expensive item and I want it right away and they shipped the second and correct 128 GB Pixel 3 XL the following morning. The packaging for the box was obviously not the brand new pixel box, however it was packaged neatly, organized well, and in a state of protection. There was a plastic seal over the screen to prevent scratches and there was a charger plug, cable, plus a audio port converter for you old school audio files. There was also an adapter so I could easily transfer my phone contents into the new pixel. Good experience and it was up and running in no time. If you haven't tried a Google Pixel 3 XL 128 GB. I highly recommend. In regards to storage capacity and consistent updates from Google, everything you have heard is true. today is February the 10th and my most recent security and software update is February 5th. It happens monthly. As far as storage capacity The pixel beats out the Samsung line due to less junk software installed. I have a tremendous amount of apps that I personally use plus I also have a encrypted work profile on the phone. All together I have well over 100 apps. After having a couple of weeks to get all of my apps up and running, all of my maps downloaded onto the device etc it shows I have 12 gigs even of system usage for the operating system and a total of 25 gigs used. So in short I have 100 free gigs to allow my device to perform like a rocket ship. This sucker is fast. Spend the extra money and get the extra storage space. I've always used 64 GB hard drives with a 128 GB SD card and it always ends up slowing down on me. This beast of a pixel performs so much better and since the operating system is small and not filled with bloatware expect to have about 100 gigs free. The rule of thumb for you non-techies is to have at least 50% of your hard drive free for optimum performance as the phone was designed. Oversize your battery get the 128.
Review: Very satisfied - This review is more about my experience of buying a renewed phone, rather than the phone itself. I purchased this phone to replace my pixel, and the *only* reason I was replacing that was because of the rapid battery drain. I didn't want to spend the money on a new pixel 4 because I'm not impressed with the battery reviews on it. My choices were to replace my pixel battery ($100) or buy a renewed phone for a couple of hundred more than I would have spent to replace the pixel battery. I started watching these renewed pixel 3xls to see how the pricing was going. I didn't want to spend more than $400, so I kept waiting and waiting. Then a 128gb one came up for $367, which I thought was a really good price. I ordered it on a Tuesday, it said it would be here the following Monday, but it arrived during the day on Friday. Yeah! The packaging was really good, the phone was secure. The phone was in a bag in the box, and in the box was also a charger and cable. The phone was not charged, but no biggie. It charged really fast. The one thing I noticed after inspection, was two scratches in the top third of the phone. I was so bummed! Now I knew why the phone was so much less. However, you can only see the scratches at a certain angle and when the screen is off. I can't feel them when running my finger over. So, another decision: can I live with the scratch that is only visible under certain angles, and angles that I would be unlikely to ever hold my phone at and when the screen is off, or do I send it back? I decided to charge it up, install my stuff and see how it goes. Well, the scratches aren't a big deal at all. There is no interference with my phone interaction/useability. It's a trade off, but I think a worthwhile trade off - this is the only physical flaw on the phone. I plan to keep this one until around pixel 6 or so, so again, I think it's worth it. I'm very happy I got a really good deal, and other than the scratches, I feel like the phone is brand new.

A: Try installing the T-Mobile unlocking tool for the play store. If that doesn't work call T-Mobile. A number of these are not actually unlocked.

**Q: Can this phone work with t-moble**
A: It should work with T-Mobile, but it seems that wifi calling will not work with T-Mobile unless you have one of the phones issued by T-Mobile--at least that is my experience, so if Wifi calling is important to you, you might want to check this out. Wifi calling is particularly useful if you are in an area where T-Mobile does not have a signal, and is cheaper for making calls if you are overseas as you can make calls to US numbers without paying extra.
