They wanted to charge me to send it back, and stopped responding to emails. **Q: Does the mat retain water, or does it allow water to drain through it?** A: Water goes through the mat as it has a woven back. The bristles do get damp with heavy water. **Q: Does this slide around without it having a rubber back?** A: We have this in an apartment building on tile and it does slide around quite a bit without a rubber back. We might try and stick something underneath to prevent this. **Q: I want to place it over an outdoor drain to keep surrounding gravel out of the drain but porous to let water into the drain. Will it work for that?** A: No, they are not sending the same matt they show in the picture and the older reviews.
