I like the extension it has when fully out. Mine leash knots up for some reason and we have to take the knots out, and they are not easy to remove. My husband and I also have problems releasing the the leash to extend as far as it wants to go. It locks and no matter what we do, we cannot get it to unlock without fooling with it an entire minute or two. Then it extends. For a puppy, it is great as it doesn’t get wrapped around their legs as much as a regular leash does. The thickness of the leash is thin. This would not be a leash for a large dog.
