If you choose you use these for this purpose, rinse off the pads under the tap before attempting to wash with other other clothing items. I wouldn't say the pads are rough. I am guilty of using wet wipes, which then makes my skin irritable. So I thought I would give Huku ago, as they are made from natural materials and hold antibacterial properties.I was really excited to try the pad tonight as I have been out all day! Make up was not overly heavy but my foundation does cling to my skin and I have long eye lashes and mascara is a nightmare to take off!! Not anymore, this pad is fantastic!! I started with warm water on the pad (you can you use micellar water) and started washing my face, it felt like and nice deep clean and does not hurt at all. I saw my pad turn foundation colour, gave it a rinse and a squeeze and went over again. All makeup has been removed and has left my face feeling very soft and a deep clean feel. I haven't washed my pad yet as only used once, rinsed out well though and can be used so many times. The instructions on the box which is a nice design is very clear and easily understood. Delivery was also quick. Extreamly happy with my purchase and such great value for money 16 pads for £10 which would last me months if not a year or more.Christmas is coming, so I will be ordering more for present as would make a great gift for anyone. They work well and are nice and soft. It's also great knowing that you aren't just throwing money in the bin as you do with wipes.My only complaints would be that as they are white, mascara and eyeliner can often stain the pads, but I prefer this than knowing that they have been unnecessarily dyed, which would potentially reduce how eco-friendly they are. Also, I am not a huge fan of the washing bag they come with as when its wet straight out of the washing machine, the draw string top is difficult to undo.
