We'd hired "main" sleeping bags from the vehicle/camping rental company but were concerned as to how warm they may prove. Whilst the day temperatures are hot in Namibia, they can drop to near freezing during the night. The bags are light and squashed into smallish spaces in our luggage. As anticipated, they proved essential for the extra warmth required during the early hours of the morning, when they also doubled up as bag liners (which was comforting since the main bags although clean had been used by others). They were also perfect by themselves for the warmer parts of each night. They have washed well.
