The response time is fairly quick and the build quality seems good. The temperature reading can be toggled between Fahrenheit and Celsius by changing the tiny switch in the battery compartment. I've used cheaper meat thermometers but I think this hits the sweet spot with a good combination of quality and value. It has definitely helped with cooking meat so it's not overdone and dry. I like that it comes in a range of colours and has a magnet so it can attach to the fridge/front of oven. The hinge mechanism is still working, which is what broke on a slightly cheaper different brand I had before. I paid £15.29 for this in August 2024.
