I haul a 14’.5” kayak in the bed with this extender with no problems. Will this hitch mount give me 11' total to haul a 14' ladder?** A: This extender will only extend about 4.5 feet from the hitch. So with the tailgate down you are looking at about 3 to 3.5 past the edge of the tail gate. You would have roughly 5 feet, give or take a bit, extending out past the extender.
